About Me

I am a composer, lyricist, Hamilton T-shirt seller, DnD player, rule follower (sometimes...), and performer who tells audacious and emotional stories about what it means to be human.

My goal is to tell stories that feel electric, lyrical, and progressive. I create worlds that look different than our own but feel incredibly, and at times horribly, the same. I try to break as many rules as possible within my storytelling, but I always keep accessibility in mind – because the most important thing to me is to create art that reaches out to you. Art that reminds you that you are not alone.

Originally from Hazel Green, Alabama (a town so small they named it after two colors), I now live and work out of New York City. My work has been performed with many small, indie theatre companies across New York City – including Theatre Untitled, Hamlet Isn't Dead, and the Broke People Play Festival at NYU.

​I am also an educator and have worked with the Play Group Theatre to develop shows for young actors and young audiences.

I hold an MFA from the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at NYU and a BFA from the University of Montevallo. 

I been influenced by many amazing things including Stephen Sondheim, Olivia Rodrigo, Everything, Everywhere, All At Once, Bob Dylan, 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, Michael R Jackson, Dungeons & Dragons, Tennessee Williams, Led Zeppelin, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and Joe's Pizza.
